  Atlas Losing Grip is a Swedish punk rock / melodic hardcore band formed in
  Lund in 2005.
  The band is fronted by Rodrigo Alfaro (Satanic Surfers, Intensity) whose
  well-known voice feels more sincere than ever.

  They have released one full length (æShut the World OutÆ) in 2008 and a MCD
  (æWatching the HorizonÆ) in 2009, both receiving great reviews from every
  corner of the globe.
  They have toured all of over europe numerous times and supported Bad Religion
  on their Scandinavian tour in the summer of 2010. The music can best be
  described as classic melodic punk rock with a diverse range of influences that
  takes the listener through shredding fast sections, catchy midtempo singalongs
  and heavier hardcore-ish stuff, all with political and personal lyrics, sung
  straight from the heart.

  Previous EP ôWatching the horizonö got license released by various labels all
  over the world, now itÆs time for a new album ôState of unrestö. They started
  recording the album on Dec 25th and finished on February 8th 2011. Jason
  Livermore of ôBlasting Roomö - Fort Collins, CO handles the mastering of the
  album. He has worked with all the greatest bands in the genre, including: Rise
  Against, Good Riddance, Propagandhi and many many more. Producing
  genre-defining albums year after year û having him putting his finishing touch
  on our album felt like an important, easy and natural decision.
  Atlas Losing Grip and we thinks that this album will be highly appreciated
  within the melodic punk scene. It really has strong, personal songs and lyrics
  which many people can relate to. The band are willing to do almost whatever it
  takes to spread their music and passion for it across the universe, fully
  prepared to tour a lot and be available in ways needed.

  better looking Gatefold packaging for the Vinyl version.

  "The first time I ever heard Face to Face was actually on the "Saturday
  Morning Cartoons" soundtrack in 1995. I had already discovered other Southern
  California style punk rock bands like Pennywise, NOFX, Bad Religion, Rancid
  and Down By Law and just could not get enough. They covered "Popeye the Sailor
  Man" well enough to make me want to hear more, so I immediately went out and
  bought "Big Choice". Little did I know that my life would pretty much change
  forever due to the musical choices I made that summer as a wet behind the ears
  teenage idiot, leading me to a life of going to shows in basements, hot sweaty
  festivals and being a devoted member of the underground music scene. And I can
  honestly say that this band helped me through so many tough times. Teen
  heartbreak, loss, depression - I felt that if someone was making music with
  the lyrics and feeling behind it that Face to Face was, that eventually things
  would get better and I would meet more like minded people and finally find a
  place I could fit in.

  Nostalgia aside, every time I hear that a new album is on the way from these
  guys, I get really excited because I can honestly say nothing they have done
  has ever let me down. "Ignorance is Bliss" is considered to be an album that
  turned a lot of the punk kids off due to its more dreary, melodramatic
  feeling. But personally, I loved that album. I guess people just expected them
  to keep releasing albums like "Don't Turn Away", "Big Choice", and "S/T" -
  which would also have been fine by me since I love all of those albums as
  well, but I respected their need to try something a little different.

  This album, in my opinion, is a perfect blend of their signature sound with a
  slight nod to the "Ignorance is Bliss" overtones. This is certainly not fluff.
  Tracks like "Under The Wreckage" and "Blood in the Water" and "What You Came
  For" remind me a lot of the more emotional and brooding Ignorance is Bliss
  days while other tracks take the slightly poppier route, and even more are
  more similar to the S/T album. There is a little something for every long time
  fan in this album, all while maintaining the lyrical integrity that drew us to
  the band in the first place.

  My favorite tracks on the album so far are "All for Nothing" and "What You
  Came For" - by far the catchiest songs on here. But honestly it's very hard to
  find a weakness in any of the songs. "It's All About You" and "Bombs Away" are
  almost throwbacks to the Don't Turn Away days, which is probably my favorite
  album of theirs. Most albums by long time punk veterans can be a little hit or
  miss but this is about as solid as they come.

  In closing, if you are a fan of this band, you need this album. There are so
  many different feels and nuances that only a band that has been around for a
  long time could develop without leading to stale riffs, stale lyrics and
  rehashed themes. These guys are true pros, and will always remain in my top 5
  favorite bands of all time."

After releasing a handful of EPs and 7-inches as well as
performing shows all over the world, Title Fight began attracting
attention from fans and labels who were captivated by the way the
band managed to put a modern spin on the melodic hardcore sound
pioneered by acts like Gorilla Biscuits and Lifetime - and in 2010
the members of Title Fight dropped out of college in order to tour
full-time with acts such as New Found Glory, Four Year Strong and
H20. It was also around this time that the band entered the studio
with Gorilla Biscuits/ Quicksand guitarist Walter Schreifels who
agreed to produce the band and promptly drove down to Northeastern
Pennsylvania to help them prepare to record their highly
anticipated full-length debut "Shed."

   It would be really easy for a lazy journalist or casual punk rock fan to
   unfairly pigeonhole Pour Habit without ever having heard them. After all,
   theyÆre a fast, riff heavy metallic/melodic punk band from Southern
   California, their name is a drinking pun and theyÆre on Fat Wreck Chords.
   However! That kind of reductive logic ignores that this is one of the most
   out there, genre bending artists to unapologetically mix up musical styles
   while weaving politics and partying together into a one of a kind manifesto
   that hearkens back to the early days experimentation in insurgent music. Pour

   do shit, which is frankly, pretty unusual. So, then, letÆs get to it. WhatÆs
   Pour Habit all about?
   Well, for starters, these dudes play a weird, technical hybrid of punk,
   metal, malt liquor and reggae. TheyÆve been known to spruce up their shows
   with break dancing, AND they can even do all this while drunk. And itÆs this
   very combination of off-beat musical proficiency and reckless debauchery that
   first attracted Fat Wreck Chords to Pour Habit like bums to a guy with some
   cigarettes and led to the re-release of their self released debut full
   length, Suiticide, subsequent high profile tours with such genre heavyweights
   and Pennywise, Strung Out and NOFX and finally landed them back in the studio
   with none other than Fat Mike himself at the helm, producing their new record
   Got Your Back. Can you imagine the hangovers that Mike must have fought
   through to bring you all these riffs and all this pummeling?
   And make no mistake, pummeling is the result of this collaboration. Got Your
   Back is thirteen tracks of ball melting, face burning speed, angular riffs,
   genre bending and lyrics about everything from Machiavellian political
   maneuvering to getting totally shithoused and a vibe that canÆt be easily
   categorized. ItÆs also worth mentioning that anyone looking for Suiticide
   part two will be disappointed. Sure, the party is still rolling on Got Your
   Back, but itÆs hardly the focus. ItÆs almost as if after the massive bender
   of touring on Suiticide the Pour Habit dudes woke up, brushed their teeth,
   dusted off their dicks and came correct with a vastly more emotionally heavy
   and politically driven album. But donÆt think that means it doesnÆt still
   totally slay. I guess one of the dudes in the band referred to their sound as
   ôa mountain landing on your faceö so uhàyeah, thatÆs heavy, and it kind of
   makes it sound like maybe they still get stoned every now and then, but still
   you gotta admit, that sounds pretty cool.
   Anyway, in support of Got Your Back, the boys in Pour Habit are hitting the
   road for the foreseeable future both as headliners and as support for more of
   the big guns in punk rock. Remember when I mentioned the break dancing
   earlier? That shit doesnÆt show up on the record, but it happens at the live
   show, which is, I donÆt think I need to tell you, not to be missed. IÆm
   talking about Kirk Hammet-esque riff blazing behind honest-to-pete headspins!
   Any way you slice it, Pour Habit puts on the kind of high energy show that is
   guaranteed to wig out your parents, so come get in on the party. And bring
   your boom box. This shitÆs uhàpoppinÆ off? Are the kids still saying that?
   No? Fuck. Okay, back to the Urban Dictionary I go.
